Summer is just around the corner. In Seattle, that means two months of 75 degree days and sunshine. Since the Pacific Northwest rarely gets to see the sun, we take full advantage of the summer months and spend all our time outdoors: hiking, biking, kayaking, and grilling. I myself am looking forward to all the summer foods, especially burgers.
Growing up, burgers were my favorite food. If a restaurant didn’t have a burger on their menu, I wouldn’t eat. As a vegan, I still enjoy a tasty burger, but I’ve switched to meat-alternative options. There are so many choices when it comes to plant-based patties. I almost think there is more of a selection of vegan burger recipes then there are standard beef ones, plus these patties don’t involve killing an animal or contribute to green-house gases, so there are so many reasons to love these burgers!
