The 23rd is the full moon of March. It is known as the Worm Moon because at this time, the earth softens and the worms reappear, signaling the return of the robins, a symbol of spring. Falling near the Spring Equinox, it is a time of rebirth and renewal. As the full moon signifies completion, this full moon marks the end of one phase (winter) and the start of another (spring).
The full moon falls under the zodiac of Libra. Libra’s symbol is the scale, and this sign is all about balance, fairness, and diplomacy. They are peaceful, social, and are gifted at seeing other’s points of view. Ruled by the element of Air, they like to chat, forming connections, and using their intellectual skills.
At this time, the sun is in Aries. Aries are the first sign of the zodiac, and some of their characteristics mimic those of “first”. They are entrepreneurs, leaders, and explorers. Their courageous, brave, and confident personalities make them shine at these roles. Ruled by the planet Mars, they are action oriented, and are known to take chances. Their element is Fire. As such, they are very passionate, and tend to standout with their bright flames burning.
Looking at the balance between the two opposites, Libra and Aries, we should focus on balancing the “I” and “We” sides of ourselves. Libras are social, doing things in partnerships or group settings, while Aries are very independent, wanting to be the first to do something. This full moon shows us how to balance our relationships. This doesn’t necessarily mean romantic relationships, but relationships in general, from our friends, our families, and even ourselves. How do we achieve that balance?
This full moon houses also a lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses signifies some sort of change in our lives due to significant shifts. As this full moon is about relationships, and the spring equinox is at play, these factors suggest that there may be a new beginning to a relationship or how we go about functioning in one. Maybe we met someone new recently, a friend, a colleague, a romantic interest. Chances are that they may have a significant impact on your life in the upcoming month!
