Zodiac Signs

Capricorn – The Goat

December 22nd – January 19th marks the 10th sign of the zodiac, Capricorn.

The Goat is the symbol associated with Capricorn. Goats are tough creatures, able to climb steep altitudes and preserver the harsh conditions. Like the Goat, Capricorns are hard workers. They are both ambitious and determined, especially in their careers. Wishing to climb the ladder of success, they seek those benefits and will stop at nothing to make it to the top. They are dedicated to their goals, which can make them a bit stubborn at times.

Saturn is the ruling planet for Capricorn. In astrology, Saturn controls our limitations and brings definition into our lives. It reminds us of our responsibilities and boundaries. Capricorns demonstrate these qualities due to their practical approach to life. They accept their limitations and do not strive toward unrealistic expectations. Instead, they are patient, going the long route toward success.

The element that Capricorn falls under is Earth. The Earth element connects to reality, groundedness, and steadiness. As an Earth sign, Capricorns are practical, patient, organized, responsible, and efficient. As the business people of the zodiac, they seek realistic, attainable goals. They can occasionally get materialistic and greedy, wanting to be rewarded for their hard work, but they practicality usually keeps them in check.

To help Capricorns connect to themselves, here are some stones associated with the sign:

Aragonite – Connecting to the earth element, Aragonite is a very grounding stone. It teaches patience and aids in concentration and determination.

Azurite – This stone activates the Third Eye, bringing about new perspectives, heightening intuition, and allowing one to move forward into the unknown without fear.

Jet – Actually fossilized wood, Jet stabilizes finances and protects businesses. Those who are attracted to Jet are typically Old Souls.
